Difficult Times …

Lotus face difficult times and are seriously weighing the closure of the factory it has occupied since 1966, moving all future production abroad and potentially to the United States.

Lotus’s quarterly report showed customer deliveries had decreased by 42 per cent compared to last year. Lotus cannot sustain itself on 1,274 cars sold.

As an owner of several Lotus cars in the past, I find it very sad but the company has been on a financial knife edge on multiple occasions over the years. I regretfully cancelled my order for the Emira after continual delays in production that became unacceptable.

I wish the company and its 1,300 employees good luck for the future.
