for a " city car ", the normal R5 is good. Very good. But on a track or if you want to have fun, the Alpine has a too small autonomy, is front wheel drive, and too heavy. Less coherent. For once, the basic is better.

For Alpine to do a FWD car, that would really drag down its brand perception in USA. In USA, it would be perceived as a luxury European performance brand like Mercedes-Benz or BMW (these brands didn't offer a FWD car until recently). But to include a FWD ...

.. I'd still prefer the regular 150 hp / 150 kph (93mph) R5. You got to look differently at this car, destined for people who need (want?) an extra car for the city or the local community stuff. A range of 380 or 400 km is not bad for a small EV .. rememb...
Let's hope the new A110 will be light.
I really doubt it will go under 1400 kilos. It will need at least 300 hp and a 60+ kWh battery pack. Again ... it will be a great car to drive, but not as great as driving the petrol A110. I'm still trying to figure out how to buy (where to steal the mone...
