But the reality of driving one is not that much fun. Modern cars are so much more precise in terms of their controls.
The DB4/5/6 all have steering that wanders, brakes that require an early push to get them to work, and gearboxes that are often recalcitrant.
I might add that for all its beauty an E-Type Jaguar is also imprecise and sloppy by today’s standards.

Agree that older cars have character and new cars are anodyne, having been refined much more over the development phase. The only old car I have driven that I fell in love with was the 911 2.7RS. That had great road feel, a sense of lightness like a racin...
