Wearing my modern Terminator...
Nov 05, 2023,22:11 PM
Hi all,
Just a 6 month update - it's been a blast wearing this Split Second Concept for nearly a half year now - and I have really enjoyed the incredibly avant garde design, the wearability, the Split and GMT complications, and the removable strap/buckle system. Previous 44mm models were sadly too intimidating for my wrist, and I wasn't thrilled about the difficulty changing straps. This Split-Second has definitively scratched the itch of cheating to RM (I regret even thinking about it!) and I hope they use the 43mm platform for more pieces beyond the Marvel editions. Love how the entire watch contours and curves on the wrist and makes it a symbiotic and almost cybernetic extension of the body...
Anyway, enjoy the rest of your Sunday all!
Peter

Though because it's more modern it's a different type of want and lust. Maybe less romantic and more exotic ! Cheers Peter
Yes, we’ll said.

I agree with the more exotic nature of this one. That element really appeals to me about this one. I’m one that really values variety, and having a piece like this among more romantic or elegant pieces is such a pleasure for the change in pace. It’s fanta...
Reminds me of a Transformer on the wrist 🦾

Like this thing can deploy into a mini-something if someone bothers you.😉🤣 Maybe that’s the next gen piece. This one is awesome. But you were considering an RM just for split second chrono? Or for the overall aesthetic?
Indeed! Transformer is an apt comparison

So far it only transforms in a few dimensions - a) strap, b) time zone, and c) the coolest feature, the hidden split second hand! Only considered the RM because I was a former collector many decades ago, when it was purely a "racing machine on the wrist" ...
Out Standing one.

It is great one in your collection, and similar to RM
Thank you!

You have amassed a special collection as well! Cheers Peter
Indeed so it's still AP engineering in the end...

In some of the models - I understand the Vaucher based movements remain mostly outsourced or have some limited finishing. Not the same for most of AP's pieces...this makes this model a little more special! Peter
Absolutely beautiful! Looks great on your wrist.

I really like APs line of concepts and high complication time pieces. Unfortunately all, from what I have seen, are on the larger side and certainly do not fit my wrist. that being said, I hope AP will come as far as to include such compositions as the on...
Could never tire of seeing this in photos
