Hi all, Just a 6 month update - it\'s been a blast wearing this Split Second Concept for nearly a half year now - and I have really enjoyed the incredibly avant garde design, the wearability, the Split and GMT complications, and the removable strap/buckle...

I agree with the more exotic nature of this one. That element really appeals to me about this one. I’m one that really values variety, and having a piece like this among more romantic or elegant pieces is such a pleasure for the change in pace. It’s fanta... 

Like this thing can deploy into a mini-something if someone bothers you.😉🤣 Maybe that’s the next gen piece. This one is awesome. But you were considering an RM just for split second chrono? Or for the overall aesthetic?

So far it only transforms in a few dimensions - a) strap, b) time zone, and c) the coolest feature, the hidden split second hand! Only considered the RM because I was a former collector many decades ago, when it was purely a "racing machine on the wrist" ... 

It is great one in your collection, and similar to RM

Renaud & Papi is the place where all these mechanical marvels are designed and built, so no surprise if they look the same.

In some of the models - I understand the Vaucher based movements remain mostly outsourced or have some limited finishing. Not the same for most of AP's pieces...this makes this model a little more special! Peter

I really like APs line of concepts and high complication time pieces. Unfortunately all, from what I have seen, are on the larger side and certainly do not fit my wrist. that being said, I hope AP will come as far as to include such compositions as the on... 

I think the Marvel concepts are a little slimmer than the split (17.5mm vs 15mm in height, and 43mm vs 42mm in case)...so I hope they use that canvas in more models! Cheers Peter
