Audemars Piguet

Okay, now even more questions about the provenance

screen grab from the Meertz website of the watch

Reference 25654 was the 3rd generation of the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar.  It was estimated that 800 total were produced in various metals.  The year 1990 would be acceptable because this generation had a long life -- remember 800 units productions would be huge over many years back then.  But it is definitely not the "first version" and in steel.

Reference 25554 was the 1st generation Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar, men's style, made in steel and gold too.
Reference 25635 was the 2nd generation Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar, men's style.
