No doubt, that's frustrating.

 

Unfortunately, I've seen similar albeit rare occurrences with many other luxury brands. I guess the most important lesson will be how the brand chooses to deal with these situations.

I will say that I once had an issue with a buckle from another brand. The CEO became personally involved, fixing my piece without hesitation. He taught me a valuable lesson about customer service.  As a result, I remain loyal to the brand.

It's sad that you "wear it selectively & not on a regular basis" because of this. Hopefully AP will step up and address your concerns. As I have an AP Safari on my "to-buy" list, I will certainly be curious as to the resolution of your issue.
