I've been "away" from Audemars Piguet for more than a few years so this watch is "missing" from my knowledge base. Neither is the steel version people are talking about.
The 'skeleton' work is modern compared with the elaborate and arduous handwork they did in the past.
It does the job but I prefer the haphazard old style; the movements were not designed for skeletonisation in the first place. Then, any metal removed was just a battle between the watchmaker and the laws of physics.
Still, the modern version is pretty enough as a conversation piece.
