and what they say is so accurate (year by year sales from 1995 to 1999) that I would tend to rely on it. That only 10 or less than 10 have surfaced on the market doesn't seem unbelievable to me. It would just mean that 50+ owners are happy with this watch... 

For example, the Tornek Rayville: Around 1100 were made. How many survived? A bit more than 100? Maybe not even 100?

I guess you are right, the verbiage makes a difference. This hodinkee article mentions "only 4 known to market" when talking about the 25721SA. www.hodinkee.com I got frustrated because the guy selling on facebook said "only 64 ever sold and only ... 

In the 90s,which is when the 1st offshores were released in the market, model was extremely unpopular. That's why only 64 examples sold of the 25721sa. On top of that, people didn't seem to like the gold bezel as it had a different alloy mixed back then t... 

I appreciate the knowledge - I never considered some people may have gotten them and then swapped the bezels out after they had tarnished, or maybe just ended up not liking the differing metals. Crazy. I wish I had a little more money to comfortably just ...
