Down vintage lane...

Super happy to recently add my first "Neo vintage" piece to my collection - the Jules Audemars Skeleton Jump Hour Minute Repeater.
I will post more details later, but I've been looking at getting an AP minute repeater recently, but the number of options which have the hammers and gongs visible are incredibly limited in the modern era. In addition, while I appreciate the absolute simplicity of the time only MR's, I need a little more complexity and visual stimulation to support my short attention span.
This piece was quite extraordinary and ticked many boxes - skeletons, jump hour minute repeater - but there was one added function that I didn't know about - and will save for the future review.
Thanks to the help of AP colleagues, I was able to get this piece!! Super happy to share with all of you and look forward to joining the Neo vintage club
Cheers
Peter

Agree a lot - I think the front reminds me a little when you enter La Sagrada FamΓlia - organically angled pillars with equivalent fine beveling and finishing as in the back. Blued hands, and that font!!! Peter
And the secret function....

Is hidden in this small button next to the winder. I had originally assumed it was to advance the jump hour, but it actually is to advance the Minute Repeater by one hour - which allows you to run a second time! So a bit of a harmonic GMT function - and y...

While my wife entered into the world of vintage AP before me with her 33mm RO QP, I'm happy to jump in with this superlative timepiece which was introduced around the same time as many of the best offshores in AP's history. I guess at that time I was so d...
