With my 6.75” wrists, the fit of the Jumbo was far superior to that of the 15400. If I had 7.25” are larger wrists, I might lean towards the 15400.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15400. A shot I took at the SIHH, in 2012.

Unveiled in 2012, in the same time than the 15202 " Jubilée ", it offered a choice between the thinness of the " re edition " and its bigger case plus the central second, with a slightly different dial and hands. Here is the shot in question: For the comp...

Definitely 15202 [nt]

And 4 - 0, now. Thanks! [nt]

I think the 15400 was a missed opportunity.....

...as an alternative to the 15202 (as the connoisseur's choice) it could have been a platform for a reinvention of the RO. Bigger more hi-tech movement (a la rolex 3255) than the 3120. Ceramic bezel. higher WR. A kind of RO 'Explorer' But no, they phoned ...

I think my choice is well known. I am not a big fan of the 15400 reference.

If I did not have the 39mm 15202, I would next choose the smaller 37mm 15450. It just looks more "correct" to me than the 41mm rendition.

Thank you! [nt]

I have owned both

I loved the color of the 15400 blue dial, but I'll choose my 15202 over a 15400 or any other modern AP. The size is just right! The only exception may be a 5402.

2 rationale leads me to...

15202.... 1) 39mm - better propotion (of course for my wirst) 2) JLC movement (2121 ?!) - when a watchmakers watchmaker has his touch, i don't have to worry ;-) btw, i don't understand why PP never matched the 5711 dial vs date window color like AP RO - a...

15202, no doubt.

If not, 15300 or 15450. Vte

I greatly prefer the 39mm size, so the 15202 for sure

As between the 15202 and 15300... well, I already made that choice.

Thanks, Descartes. [nt]

Well the 15400 is still a good watch.

I like mine (white / silver dial).

The 15202 doesn’t have a similar dial right?

 By: jomni1 : September 10th, 2018-18:16
And everyone goes for blue.

Right. [nt]

That’s a tough one

I prefer the central seconds hand on the 15400. If only if were 39.... Alas my 15400 is a keeper

Between these 2, 15202 for sure.

 By: singingbee : September 11th, 2018-04:20
I don’t like the size and proportion of the 15400. The movement looks way small in the display caseback. If this is between the 15202 and 15450, I will go for the 15450 as the 37mm fits even better than 39mm on smaller wrists and it has a running second h...

This time I am with the majority

15202

Thanks for your vote, G.M. 14-2 for the 15202. [nt]

Without a doubt 15202! [nt]

Obviously in the minority here but...

I tried both before I purchased my RO and felt the 15400 was a much better fit for my flat 7" wrist. The Jumbo just looked/felt too dainty to me. No regrets, love the watch.

15202
