a quick and dirty snapshot of the new Ferrier time only caliber
sorry for quality but taken with my Blackberry (not the same quality as iPhone) so sorry about this. Its still a prototype and is missing the Geneva waves and the finish on the micro rotor
The watch has 3 specific features:
- A silicon escapement with double direct impulse on the balance (called à Moustache)
- a micro rotor pawl fitted automatic winding system fixed between the main plate and the micro rotor bridge which enables the same winding efficiency as a watch with a centrally mounted rotor
- a "silent block" protection system also guarantees greater stability on the micro rotor

I'd wondered about that as well. The only thing I could think of was something similar to the anti-vibration mountings of a motor, but I'm not sure how much sense that makes. I guess we'll hvae to wait for more info. nick
basically the rotor is mounted on 2 O rings (back and
front) which supposedly give it greater stability and resistance to shock
