given their relatively smaller size. A VC boutique wouldn’t have surprised me. And ShreveCL is an AD right there. If this is true, then I guess that changes. Should be interesting.
ALS apparently has 5 other boutiques (and 9 to 10 ADs) in the US, and while I still don't know any details yet, I guess it's not unreasonable in the current watch market to expand the business to Boston, where they have nothing yet....
I'm sure it will be run like all other boutiques (i.e., trying to sell all the models that don't sell with the promise of a SS "Odysseus"), but I'll be curious to learn more about their new Boston adventure! Cheers.
True, even if ALS doesn’t seem to mind the “Rolex model” to create artificial shortages with the SS “Odysseus,” in order to finally sell some of its other watches…
Some people took the bait and bought lots of other undesired stuff in order to get the “Odysseus” (I heard ALS boutiques even explicitly mention a price tag!😱), so in part the scheme succeeded….Maybe now, by sitting right next to the masters, they’ll also...
And Audemars and Richard Mille are steps away from these stores, also with nothing to buy in either
But European Watch is a few blocks away too and they are loaded with inventory like most grays. Lol

... hopefully this Lange boutique will have some more product and not be totally empty! And even more boutiques should open nearby soon, though they will be dealer-owned and not brand-owned.
Don’t forget the RM boutique that’s there.
Granted, there is a different threshold or willingness to enter that store. But if one does, don’t expect to be seeing any of the popular references on display either.
Most (but not all) Lange boutiques are owned by the brand itself. This Boston boutique is one of those brand-owned boutiques.
From what I understand, the AD-owned boutiques aren't noticeably lower in the pecking order than the brand-owned boutiques, but that might not be true when talking about the occasional super difficult pieces.

No watches to sell. High demand, not enough production capability. Need to fund CapEx to increase production. Buy commercial real estate in high $/Sq foot locations in a down market. At a 40% discount when CHF is strong against the USD. And using Rolex Ba...
It would be nice if each boutique had a permanent set of exhibition-only models, even with just 1 reference from every style.

That Rolex boutique is tough. Shortly after it opened I stopped by with my family (wife and two daughters).
All of us happened to be wearing Rolexes. I had a Platona, my wife a Day Date with factory diamonds and the kids had Datejusts. They turned us away because we had no appointment. It’s tough out there in Rolex world.
Lol, yes indeed! Rolex and other nearby stores did that temporarily, mainly to avoid crowding during the pandemic (plus huge numbers of people wanting to enter the new boutique).
