I get this totally.

This went from “not being on my Lange radar” to being a “gotta have”. Love the one second remintoire and the dead beat seconds hand. Right now my Lange stable is full with this one, a 1st generation platinum Datograph, a white gold Striking Time, a white gold Odysseus, a white gold 1st generation Saxonia Annual Calendar and a current model white gold Lange 1 Moonphase.

I’d have to say that I prefer the 1st generation Annual Calendar to the current release. The 38.5mm case size was already pretty much perfect and the pusher for the date makes no sense to me on an automatic Annual Calendar where they’ve kept the other adjustments requiring the tool. Also I much prefer the Sax-O-Mat movement to the current model with full size rotor.

Then again - I also prefer the 1st generation Datograph to the Up/Down - guess I’m showing my age 🤣

I sort of feel the same way. By the time I've located the hour display, then the hour hand, and search around for the minute display and hand........I've completely forgot what I was looking for....and wandered off into traffic.
