As others have said hearing other’s logic or reasoning (maybe those are wrong word choices) behind an acquisition is always very interesting.
I can relate to having a piece that sits there on the radar for several years yet never seems to get the nod as other pieces take priority. For me, the Lange 1 has been in that spot for several years. Unlike you I’m pulled in a different direction, more towards the original and early pieces. Although the Darth also appeals.
Your choice as you state above wears a little more casual because of that dial. In this respect I guess it’s a more unusual of the Lange 1.

This would be my go to after the traditional Lange 1 in Rose gold.
I am in love with the Grand Lange 1 Moon Phase.

CR, I concur the L1’s lume is better than my PAM
PAM 959 that is. Arbitrarily it is about 30% better, and both were not charged up. Kinda disappointed in the PAM to be honest.
