Among these three watches, I definitely vote for the Lange 1 Moon phase even if the two others fit your wrist slightly better in my opinion (at least on the picture)
The Lange 1 Moon phase with its day/night indicator is truly gorgeous. Nevertheless, if I had to buy it (I really hope to own one in a near future), I would opt for the white gold black dial which better enhances this complication (what a blue!).
I made a second trip to my Lange AD today and tried on these three beauties. it really is a tough decision as they are all lovely in their own right. As much as I love the Little Lange, I must admit that the Lange 1 moonphase with its alluring light blue ...

Your observations are most appreciated. Yes the Little Lange and Saxonia thin, both being smaller, do fit my wrist better. For me personally, rose gold matches my skin colour a lot better than the white gold. Your feedback I must confess has confused me e...
If you want to go with the Lange 1 Moonphase the best looking one IMO is the white gold and black dial combination. Also, the Saxonia looks a little big on your wrist. I have a 6 1/4 inch wrist and the Saxonia Thin was too large for me. I ended up getting...
I think the Saxonia thin may look large because of the emptiness on its dial compared to the moonphase watches. My wrist is 6.5 inches and if you think the 37mm Saxonia thin looks a little big on my wrist, then surely the 38.5mm Lange 1 moonphase would lo...
The Lange 1 Moonphase is not too big for your wrist due to the “busy” dial. The uncluttered dial of the Saxonia Thin makes it wear a lot larger than its 37mm. As I mentioned the Saxonia Thin looks too big on me, but the 1815 Up/Down looks great. The diffe...
but when I do try on a watch for size, I actually take a more objective view personally and look at how the case and lugs sit on my wrist rather than being too affected by what goes on in the dial as that would give a misconception that the dial is smalle...
The majority of watches these days are 39mm and larger which can be terribly frustrating for us smaller wristed folk. I am so grateful to Lange for reducing the sizes of its Saxonia range which to me is great hindsight on their part. They are smart enough...
Due to our small wrists and their notorious straight lugs, we can only wear 34mm and 35mm Breguets, many of which have been discontinued like this gorgeous 5907. The Richemont group seem to have reverted to The epitome of class! smaller sizes more than th...
will fit you perfectly. And if that is still too large for you, you could try the many 33mm Breguets from the 1990s. I believe you can still find a brand new unworn 5907s! And you are right, it is actually a blessing that more watches cannot fit our wrist...
I had some time to kill while in Paris two weeks ago and found myself somehow in the Vacheron boutique and came across the new 36mm 1921 American and also the 40mm triple calendars. I was disappointed by both. Maybe that was because I had just come from t...
There was a report a month-or-so ago that VC will be introducing a new range of entry-level (i.e. cheaper) watches. Still a rumor at this stage. As for which Lange, I am considering the Lange 1, Lange 1 Moonphase, Little Lange 1 Moonphase, and the 1815 AC...
I think such a move by VC will dilute the reputation of the brand. Just like Moritz Grossmann producing a skull watch managed to kill my genuine interest in the brand. As for your next Lange; either Lange 1 moonphases will suit you fine but your small wri...
the quality is kept to the same very high standard. Lange has done this with the Saxonia thin and 35mm Saxonia. Moritz Grossmann decided a couple of years ago to produce steel watches with movements with a less elaborate finishing. That without doubt boos...
Too many people overlook the 5119 but it is a lovely classic watch even though one might argue that the movement is too small for its case. It is however, a very good and proven movement. Which one will you get? Would you not consider a 5116R?
I have a WG Saxonia 35mm, as such for a contrast I decided to go with the yellow gold Calatrava. As for why I ruled out the 5116R, rose gold is my least favorite gold and while I do like the enamel dial the extra cost was not worth it.
as it is very difficult to tell the 5116 and 5119 dials apart unless you put them side by side and have a good eye. The 5119J is a classic and a great Patek in its own right.
It fits my wrist better than the 38.5mm Lange 1 moonphase although it may not necessarily be a more attractive watch than the Lange 1 moonphase. But you know me Sake, it has to suit my wrist first and foremost!!
That seems to be the majority vote at the moment! No one has pointed this out yet but it is interesting to note that the hands on this watch are luminous which would be useful in the dark
You know my wrist, you know what watches appeal to me and the Saxonia thin would be a logical choice - the safe bet!! It is undoubtedly elegant despite the above photo being not very flattering due to the light conditions. I know it is not quite comparing...
First of all, the best looking one is the Saxonia thin for sure. I have no idea why that watch makes my heart beat so fast! I don’t get the same feeling looking at any other watch - the 1815 Up Down comes second lol However, if you’re looking for somethin...
The Saxonia thin is a special watch (I will show you mine one day if you show me yours! ) and I actually like the 1815 up and down except for the fact that it takes more than 150 turns to wind the watch. I owned one before and suffered - and believe me yo...
If you decide to add another watch, and it's not the Cartier Cintrée you posted a few weeks ago, then go for the Lange 1 MP. In the long run I think you will find it more satisfactory than the Little L1, even though it is 2mm bigger. The Moon Phase is gor...
I too think that the Saxonia is something I will love. Perhaps the love affair has already begun!! As for the Cartier tank Cintree which is undoubtedly a lovely watch, I have decided instead to commission a piece unique with Voutilainen. As a result, ther...
but on reflection Mike, I think you could easily be Mr Richemont!! You alone among the purists have been so partial towards the Cintree. I even enquired and I was flabbergasted by the daily tolerance of +13 -5 which I felt was too large for such an expens...
