Has anyone had issues with Omega servicing recently?

I recently received my Seamaster 300 Chronograph GMT back from a full service and noticed that it had a very deep scratch on the top left lug and side near the helium escape valve. Not only this, the watch was running +7 seconds fast per day.

Needless to say I was furious as when I sent the watch for service it did not have that scratch. It was actually on really good condition and had hardly any scratches as I just purchased it a few days prior earlier this year. I sent it in for service because the crown felt a little gritty when setting the time, although it was +1 seconds per day. Since the case was in great condition I asked them not to polish it.

I called the service center and they said the watch arrived in their possession with the deep scratch and they sent me a photo from intake. I then sent them a photo of the watch the day I shipped it off with no scratches. I just sent it back to them for service.

How would you all handle this situation?

Should I press them to polish the case and regulate the watch quickly as possible as I don't want to have to wait another 3 months.

I am very disappointed at Omega. Somewhere in there process the watch was scratched deeply. Not only that, they didn't even try to polish the watch.

When I sent me Rolex in for service and requested that they do not polish, they have always called me to confirm what service was needed and if I was sure that I wanted to polish. Why can't Omega offer similar level of customer service? Why did they have to butcher my case with a deep scratch? I had my SMP 300 serviced by the Swatch Group facility in Culver City recently and everything went great

Service can be hit or miss even with the best of brands… sounds like you are unfortunately on the wrong side of a miss. They should at a minimum offer to polish out the scratch.

Nightmare

We don't know how you sent it. How it was packaged. And where you shipped it to. An Omega service center? An Omega authorized service center? Other? You're very vague, and I have to make assumptions regarding the details. Unfortunately this is very unfair...
