It really was a race car...

In road car clothes. Look under that rear window and down those 8 open fuel injection throats! I've heard one and I can’t explain the sound. It was the 2 liter Tipo 33 race car, minimally civilized to be legal by the more liberal standards of Italy in the ‘60s. I’ve seen 2, one in the US and the other at the Alfa museum. Both different and very hand-made. The stuff of dreams!

This stunning car was the fastest car over the standing kilometre when first introduced. Just 18 examples were produced between 1967 and 1969. The 2 litre V8 makes about 230 BHP and revs to a high 10,000 RPM. Top speed was approximately 160 miles per hour...

A wonderful car. [nt]

Don't forget that it weighed about 700 Kg or 1540 lbs or thereabouts.

have you ever driven one? best car for winding roads and track purpose. I can do a regular 180 degree track curve in its inner side at 70 km/h (probably more but I am too weak for the forces on the steering wheel) without drifting to the outside. thus ove...

And enjoyed it,especially the engine noises. Tyre choice is very important as the carbon chassis is incredibly stiff. Great photo !

you are right, the whole setup is important

the white 4C is a total lightweight with a race setup weighing 850 kg (without me); my black spider weighs nearly 200kg more and is not that agile (also due to suspensions etc). but for both the handling is fantastic go-kart like. 10 years ago I achieved ...

Definitely a future classic ...
