Zenith Redmatic from Basel 2013
Hello, With Basel drawing closer I am posting this image I saved from last years event, it is essentially a Doublematic novelty with a DLC style finish and alternative colour markings, It is an unusual finish to an already uniquely styled watch. I always wondered what became of this concept, as a fan of the Doublematic I was hoping to see this version in the marketplace but it seems to have disappeared, I searched for further information here but only found another short thread looking for further information.

Hi Ramon, I totally agree with you here. Certainly on paper Alchron properties look promising. It scratches black and can be polished, and dampens magnetic fields, and is a light alloy, corrosion resistant. What more can one ask if wanting a black watch? ...

Yes, I understand. Perhaps the name alchron is misleading. Anyway it's a cool material even though it's not much lighter than stainless steel. From pictures I like it better than carbon fiber on a case. Thanks, Ramon
