And it's an historic model moniker dating back to the 1970s. So "Defy" isn't some kind of modern marketing jive like "Offshore" or "Big Bang." The historic "Defy" models from over 40 years ago featured additional water resistance with screwed-in bezels, tougher seals, thicker crystals, and an additional buffer for shock resistance in some applications. It didn't seem strange or outlandish then, and many of those vintage watches featured strong geometric cases that we at least as aggressive as this. The Defy name still has its place on the dial of a Zenith watch, it's refreshing to see it paired with "Elite," too.
