First of all, I was not aware of the "pilot" on the dial.
About the size I understand your point but the movement would become really too small in this "simple" context with a larger diameter. If we look at the GMT, the presence of the GMT hand hides a bit the position of the second hand too close to the center. But well, I would be curious to see the same watch with a 42mm diameter.

i will have to wait until they come out to see how it fits. I think I will like the GMT. something about the chrono annual calender doesn't look right to me, same for the tourbillon.
