Like you, I'm not (at all) a Zenith fan, but I really like this G.F.J.,
except for the "bricks" finishing of the movement.
That said, even with this bricks finishing, I personally find this watch much more interesting than the 1908: historically and horologically, it's something else for me.
The first reedition of the Calibre 135, made with Voutilainen, has a wonderful movement finishing:

Anyway, both are sold out (10 pcs for the Voutilainen and 160 for the G.F.J.).
So the platinum 1908 might be a good option, after all !!
