Zenith

Team, Almost everyone agrees that the Zenith designs from Thierry Nataf era were everything but discrete. Yesterday I "bumped" on one, that I never saw "in metal" and IMHO is a very interesting and bold watch. Of course, with the beefy 46.5mm case diamete...  

These watches look much better in the flesh. Pictures can't seem to ever properly capture the depth and textures of the dial. Extremely solid as i remember.

Some watches are great on pictures but not "in flesh". Others, like the Defy, are so so on pictures but are great live. Cheers, Nilo

If you want a watch that is virtually bomb proof, a depth proof, and is super cool, very eclectic , and (for me at least) the perfect size, then this is the one. And at current prices for NOS they are a bargain ! Merry Christmas ! Dean ...  

The Defy is a clear cut case of a true innovative watch that on all adverts that I saw a little weird. Seeing in metal shows the true form an grace of this watch. Cheers, Nilo

Nilo, Iconic does not necessarily translate into ideal for diving. As a diver myself, I know the need for legibility. The most worn timepiece for divers is the Suunto which is typically 45mm. (Yes it is a dive computer) Even The Rolex Deepsea is 44mm. Div... 

Why do you think that is? Was it because in the 90's and 00's Zenith had lost it's soul and identity? And what makes the Richard Mille name a guarantee of success? I loved the HM2 from MB&F, and was offered one for a very good price in Singapore, but ... 

Philosophically, these watches were a bold departure. There's something to be said for management that shows courage and makes a leap of faith. The Rolex approach is very fair to current owners and respects the enormous tradition, established reputation, ...
