I owned the New Vintage 1969 for a while . . .
. . . and found it difficult to read . . .
. . . in the dark when hour and minute hands were in the 'southern hemisphere'.
There's a marked difference between my old EP and the new model in that hour and minute hands are white rather than steel grey. I suppose it won't have the same legibility issue as the New Vintage. But all the same, I would give the black dial higher marks on both objective and subjective grounds. The black background for the date wheel is an especially welcome touch. It blends in with the dial more so than the white.
Yes, I'm thinking about getting one.
