Hello dear friends !
We are now live and starting a little earlier for our big watch community event.
The theme is all about our watches and “treats” of any kind that we enjoy in life. This could be something simple like a coffee in the morning, a little patisserie, your favourite music, friends, or even the car you love. The main thing is it’s your special treat, the thing that makes life just a little better.
The simple treat in the WristScan poster, is of a tasty apple patisserie that I (Captain) enjoyed overlooking a beautiful beach with a coffee this week… delicious !
Don’t forget that we have an additional new category for our new format WristScan. This is the “Classic” category for wrist watches and timepieces of ten years old or more.

It's kinda like the platypus of Omega's history, Cap - odd irregular shape . . .
. . . combined with an equally odd dial (no minutes markers) and a movement that was a joint venture with Tissot. They were made in the early '70s for just a few years. On my wrist now for the third straight day, and enjoying it more than expected.
Since the Museum has inconveniently bypassed the Stingray . . .
. . . (or Cobra, as it's also known), here's a macro . . . . . . for your viewing pleasure. Notice the absence of minute marks, unusual for a cushion case design. Tool watch case, dress dial . . . not often seen. ...

I just put the CDV back on its Serapian strap for the winter. The summer months here are hot and humid so I generally go for straps with a natural rubber lining.
You are welcome Timeout. I like the Serapian looks and comfort so much and I have kept those original straps in my own CVD till today. I understand your point about wearing them during Summer ...
... and your preference for rubber lined straps. In my personal case my skin doesn´t bear rubber straps contact for long periods so I can´t rely on them in my watches. That´s truly a shame. Keep enjoyin this beautiful chrono so much! Best, Abel

The PAM 1118 seemed like a natural with all the blacklight and glowing spooky scenes. The X1 lume is sooooo bright that it doubled as a flashlight within the five Haunted Houses we visited.
Yes, and they had great music playing too. More adult oriented :)
Plus many of the usual park lights were off, so rollercoasters were far more fun. If you have the time, well worth it imho.
