Hello everyone, the theme for this week's WS will be 'Once upon a time'. The topic is open to interpretation, it could be a watch you bought a long time ago, or one that was in your watch drawer for a while and you rediscovered. It could also be shots fro...
What a wonderful picture of that abandoned Russian Ekranoplan!! It would be interesting to know the history behind this strange and unique design of a flying boat that actually doesnยดt fly! Thank you for sharing. Interesting Theme you choose for this edit...
While the Ekranoplan looks fairly weathered from the outside itโs absolutely pristine inside, and complete down to bedsheets on the bunk beds for the crew. The last flight it made was in April 1993 and itโs been towed to this location many years later. It...
Itโs an excellent platform for that, reaching far places quickly due to the speed and having a payload capacity of 60 tons. And it can land on sea up to a wave height of 5 meters ๐๐ป
Very interesting to know all this information you share dear KM. This plane/ship has some awesome capabilities and characteristics! Thank you for sharing here!! Abel
I decided for 3 watches, all three Vintages, which are true keepers for me, since I was so happy to have found them, one together with a relaxed stroll through Paris.. They also somehow represent 3 lines of my collecting interest.. - Thus, without further...
From the 70s feel of the Memovox, including the galuchat strap to the two timeless classics following, a great selection indeed ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
Always a pleasure to view and admire them. I imagine the big enjoyment they bring you each time you strap them on your wrist!! Have a great weekend my dear HS!! Abel
The watches themselves are fantastic, and the strap choices equally inspired. The burnt umber tones on the Rolex strap, the sand nato on the breguetโฆ and my favouriteโฆ The stingray on the Memovoxโฆ which is brilliant!
Landed safely in the meantime and am looking forward to a weekend spent with the family. That Ekranoplan is really something else ๐ Looking forward to seeing your selection ๐๐ป๐ค๐ป
These watches are now with new owners but I miss them now and then! A diverse group of brands and styles: some sporty, some dressy, some in WG, some in SS or Ti, some white, black or blue dials, some Swiss, 1 Japanese... you can get an idea of my horologi...
A little more than three years ago I got this watch which by some special personal reasons I havenยดt put in use till... today. As you can see it still has all its plastics on it. I fitted its bracelet myself yesterday night and set its several complicatio...
And Yes, I can imagine that the WG bezel catches each ray of light.. I truly appreciate your recent arrival and am enjoying your picture line-up ! Well done, Bravo !! Cheers, hs.
Agree with you that this is not the most popular Rolex but I feel it deserves the attention of lovers of watches and complications. I really love it in spite of all the bling bling its bezel produces! Lol! Have a nice weekend my dear friend! Abel
I applaud Rolex for creating something different and interesting, but instantly recognisable as a Rolex. Excellent photos to go with your watch. Enjoy it and celebrate ๐ฅ Best regards Captain
I have no watch in a drawer. Watch box user. Which watch i forgotten? Which watch i lost! Thatโs better for me. I have good memories, but not my watches. I am very new to mechanical watches anyway, i care like a bodyguard, they are worth it. ...
introcuced by our desr Fx but I missed the post! When Nico re-introduced it again a fortnight ago, it was love at first sight. Thank you for taking your time to host and safe journeys to you, dear friend! ...
And perfect shirt matching, too ๐๐ป๐๐ป The travels have an intermezzo for some days before they resume towards the end of next week ๐๐๐ป
It was love at first sight. A watch that I would have loved to have owned decades ago, when I was a younger man. But I am happy it came into my life at all and find it a wonderful piece! A good, tranquil weekend to you, my dear friend.
โฆ and I guess enjoyable at any age. Even at mine ! Lol! Not a common sight indeed but a beautiful one. Keep enjoying it so much my dear friend Moritz! A nice week ahead! Abel

... in any of its several dial color options. It is a tough and reliable watch to have on the wrist be it in water or on land. A great choice. Keep enjoying it so much my dear friend. Hope you are enjoying a nice and relaxed weekend! Abel

... interesting places and people. Itยดs also so nice to have a beautiful watch on our wrists when travelling to have the joy of viewing them on our wrists. Thank you for sharing your beauties! Hagwe! Abel
I sold it though as I got another similar panerai which I like more and I had to finance the buy of a Bronzo Pam382โฆ so I let it go for good reason. I could sell it to another paneristi who was really happy to have it now in his collection . ...
... you may feel free of regrets. In any case you can replace it if you desire. The collectors journey is long and full of pieces that come and go... and sometimes return too! Keep enjoying your beautiful collection! Hagwe! Abel

... descends into the depths and its dial will turn darker and darker, but Doxa surely did an statement when it offered their orange color dials producing one of the most beautiful and full of character dive watches ever. Their colorful dials where of cou...
. . . since my first post on The Purists. I was in my third year of collecting Glashรผtte Original then, accumulating seven over the course of six years. As of a month ago, they're all gone. It's as though a chapter of my life has closed. The cause was a c...
I have to say it feels unusual to think of you as GO-less. And I fully agree that the brand has managed some of the best executed PCs in the relatively affordable range. Any chance of a return of a GO for you going forward?
. . . when it was in production eighteen years ago. There were fewer than a hundred of these limited Karree 1845 models produced, if memory serves correct, mostly in steel with a handful in rose gold. I was close to pulling the trigger on the steel versio...
It surprised me so much to know you are presently without any GO and that even your beloved Karree is gone, but of course it is a very personal decision and reasons behind. Collecting is a long and meandrous journey. Who knows if there is another GO waiti...
... on the wrist, but I would love to get freed of time schedules and think about the pass of Time. (I wold like to own at least a Perpetual in my collection though) Lol! Best, Abel
