This Friday starts with a 'Fried egg' and 'Pizza'...
even all of the Panerai's showing respect for the big size (46mm diameter) of the Breitling Navitimer 1806! It is such a huge and powerfull watch and the first automatic chronograph ever. They were introduced by Breitling in 1969! This one was ordered by Saddam Hussein in the 70's for the Irakian Air Force, as you can see on the dial with the golden wings and the caseback engravings. The 1806 is already a rare watch, if you find a good and original one from the Irakian Army, you are lucky, but finding an Irakian Navitimer without the 'Breitling-Geneve' writings under the wings, that is nearly impossible.

You should go for one, first because it is realy nice...
and second because it was the first automatic chrono. I own mine for nearly 20 years and I never had the smallest problem with it. It is running so strong, it's like a miracle! best regards my friend!

but they went along with everything else 2 years ago. for some reason the 1806 doesnt feel as big as it really is, perhaps its because the case is round(ish). mine was a standard civilian issue but i did have 2 quartz military navitimers, 1 Iraqi and 1 Al...
