Let's see those giant watches! Please post on this thread, with photos, dimensions and weight, starting NOW! Best of luck to you all, mates! Cazalea Here's an Antoine Preziuso Tourbillon 65mm to give you inspiration (not my watch, not my photo, not a cont...
the new Panerai Submersible Luna Rossa Carbothec, PAM 1039, 47 mm, not so heavy due to the case material... But rocking a heavy link to sea 👍🇮🇹👍 By far the biggest watch in my humble collection and the one which is on my wrist during this long period of h...
... to get the best angle or capture an unusual background for them think we are a bit crazy. After several years doing watch photography everybody in my family are already acustomed to my excentricity with this matter but of course it is not the same whe...
44mm and 15.65mm thick... its plenty watch But allow me to go all Crocodile Dundee for a moment.. "That's not a watch... "THIS is a watch!!!" 55mm of big-piloty-goodness💪🙂. HAGWE Everyone ...
With my 6.5" wrist, I can totally pull off the right 34mm watch. Vintage Tudor Small Rose, vintage Omega Sea Master, a vintage Zodiac Kingline. Sure, 36mm to 39mm is probably my sweet spot, and we can all wear a 42mm Omega Speedmaster Professional perfect...
Fortis B42 42mm x 15mm and 216 grams, almost half a pound. The heaviest and thickest I own, although not largest diameter. It's probably more of a tank than a whale and I treat it like one. It takes a lot of abuse as you can see by the wear. ...
most of you will likely say that i'm crazy but to me yes!!!!! the nautilus is a whale....that's the reason why i let my 5711 & 5712 go . have a good week end & stay safe ...
I’m going to guess that your very comfortable ride is a long wheelbase Range Rover with the executive seats in the back that almost go lay-flat. Oh, and you’re watching Jean-Luc Picard (Star Trek) on the television. You’ll have to let me know how I did 😀 ...
Hi All Here's mine - by my standards it's a bit of a brute. Seiko diver ( sorry I forget the reference) , but it was the reinterpretation of the SLA017 a few years back. Just glad I didn't get it on a bracelet! Final shot shows it as close as it ever gets...
Great challenge for WristScan this weekend Mike ! Size can be deceptive especially when cased in titanium ... Weighing in at 202 Grams... Let’s try some “Moonshine” .... Weighing in at 210 Grams... Have a great weekend friends and stay safe ! ...
Was my wife’s initial reaction. But I digress. I humbly submit for your viewing pleasure my positively whalian HD3 Idalgo XT-2 which measures in at a portly 62mm by 52mm. This is 3.2 times larger than a 36mm Calatrava, thus proving if there was ever a par...
And yet, I like it! I've considered a Devon Tread 1 many times over the past few years but I'm worried about serviceability. Photo credit Feldmar Watch Company website ...
Cazalea (my wife ready to take it off my wrist and toss it back to the salesperson with "NO, HE WON'T BUY THAT!" The political flag is unrelated to the Tread watch (I think) ...
... very similar good reasons as in my case when I bought my Big Egiziano: "just because we like it so much" and even if we wear them little ... and in my case only within the walls of my home. My Big Panerai gives me much pleasure to own it, when I view ...
As has been seen, Mike and Emil were all over this! And I'm honored to be in your company. Wonderfully entertaining writer you are, as well. Many thanks! FH
Also, I'm not sure how the density of bronze compares to SS, much less gold or platinum. OK, took the time to look it up, and bronze and SS aren't too far off in density - though both variable, based upon the exact alloy.
They all fit with some of my (7" - 7 1/8") wrist showing past the lugs. That could be because they all have short, sharply downward-turning lugs that hug the wrist - even the Zenith.
These pictures are of Speedwing's watches-he had trouble uploading so I offered to lend him a hand. He owns these Oceanographic watches as pictured here, 1000M titanium, 4000M titanium, 4000M carbon, and a 1000M Carbon in addition that isn't pictured. The...
...while I'm locked up (in a house) in the United States! ;-) So I resorted to google, and entering "Patek 5131p weight" gives you back 241.8 grams, taken from a watch blog. I just saw that Fram gave a slightly lower number for his 5131P, and I'm sure my ...
...its dial is indeed outstanding (though less elaborate than other enamel works), and I also like the originality of it being the first-ever Patek rare handcraft in platinum, an excellent choice. Cheers ;-)
I have twin ca. 1968 Breitling Chronomat 0818’s that are massive at 48mm and 14mm thick (weight unknown). These two are in extremely nice overall condition with the white dial version being NOS. This is a manual winding triple chronograph powered by a gor...
slide rules you ought to be able to figure out precisely how many planetary bodies may actually collide when Andromeda collides with the Milky Way in roughly 4.5 billion years! HAGWE! FH
... Though my preference in watches is usually around the 38/40 mm diameter cases, I adore Panerai and "forgive" their big size as I consider it part of their DNA and heritage. Taking a look into my collection, I find that through the years I have discove...
bigger than some hybrids!" Whatever…. My favorite part are the raised pedestals at 15, 30, 45. They look like a Swiss Army invention to be used like a block & tackle! Well played (as usual) Subex! Regards, FH

. . . sourcing this Flightmaster study. Filled with Flightmaster lore, and well worth every moment spent reading. Art PS - my brother is ordering a copy of Daltrey's book from Amazon. ...
The integrated short lugs make this easy to wear. In fact I’d say it wears similar to, maybe even slightly more comfy than the Seamaster Diver 300 which is 4mm smaller on paper. I dare say it’s thinner too. Should be about the same as the Flightmaster I s...
But alas, fellow Purists, having been charged with judging your submissions the following contribution is made only to encourage those of you who have not yet joined this week’s contest. C’mon! Nobody out there with an Ennebi Fondale Bronzo? (A logical ex...
So my entries will be comparably dainty 😉 The largest is probably the 45mm PADI Turtle... The heaviest is probably the Doxa Searambler, as it’s still on a bracelet (sorry, weighing them is not realistic at the moment with the kids running riot). And then ...
Sorry for the mix of pics but it’s hard to get the pod in one place... they are social distancing at the bank... here a few of the larger whales in the pod. 42mm up to 60mm the heaviest being the AP brick at 350 grams ...
