Several outstanding wrist shots this week, but as they say . . .
Jul 17, 2023,18:18 PM
. . . 'many are called but three are chosen'. (Actually that's not what they say, but close enough for government work.)
All of these stood out, starting with K's icy GS set against an icy background . . .
. . . Watchonthewrist's delectable Rexhepi . . .
. . . h's lucid image of his Aquanaut . . .
. . . Chronometer's capture of the grain on his Longines . . .
. . . Timeout's stark b&w rendition of his Lange . . .
. . . gpinto75's Moser with a strap to match his jacket (!) . . .
. . . Spangle's Breguet after a mid-day drizzle . . .
. . . Abel's Speedy-to-die-for . . .
. . . delicious pink gold Rolex . . .
. . . and Panerai leviathan . . .
. . . 1WatchMan's Patek replete with swimming trunks (!) . . .
. . . Cap's skyline Speedy . . .
. . . Jp75's VC Overseas in a casual context . . .
. . . and hora12reborn's personally compelling Seamaster cased in titanium, tantalum, and rose gold.
All of these were eye-catching. The submissions that made the deepest impressions visually were, starting with bronze:
Chaiwat's AP RO which demonstrated the inherent concinnity of its design . . .
. . . thru skeleton execution, Myles Omega Seamaster garnering silver . . .
. . . with his action-packed 'this is how a dive watch should be worn' photo, and gold to JML . . .
. . . for juxtaposing his Reverso against railroad tracks, subliminally amplifying its linear design. A brilliant composition, in my humble opinion.
A Special moderator's* award to Saxon for sharing his Lange side-step . . .
. . . which is a personal favorite and a pleasure to see posted. Pplater's recent thread regarding watches that would make one give up collecting altogether garnered a few expected responses from myself; the side-step should've been added to that very short list.
Hope to see you all next week when Wrist Scan will be hosted by yours truly. Theme? Hint: Indiana Jones.
