MIH with DQ dial
My custom MIH with Dumortierite quartz dial.
Dumortierite is one of the rarer and more unusual blue varieties of quartz gemstones. It is a gemstone-quality combination of quartz aggregate, intergrown with the mineral known as dumortierite. Blue colored quartz is surprisingly quite rare. The traces of dumortierite are responsible for its distinct color, which can range from light to dark blue and in some cases reddish-brown.
Notice how the patterns change as I move my wrist? And the three-dimension surface of the dial near 4 and 5 o'clock?

Brings back memories of Thanksgivings long ago . . .
. . . when cracking walnuts and hazelnuts after dinner was part of the tradition. These days, I'm so full after the second helping that any thought of dessert, much less nuts, goes right out the window ;-) . . .
My late Grandfather...

I made it all up as I was amazed by the images that came out of my camera. The fancy named stone is a real material and the images are not even faked. But it\'s the same old dial everyone else has - topped by a marvelously reflective crystal. Sorry Tongue...

Give us some lumes… Looking at the crown it looks like a -1. -2 or -3? The kind of watch that gets my heart racing. Rarer sports 30CH are for me that much more sexy than their "finer" colorful counterparts.
