Still influenced by this weeks Parisian GTG. Longines Ultra-Chron, Ref. 7827 (Cal. 431, auto), 36000vph, 25 jewels, PR 42h, steel, 34x9mm, circa 1969. Ps. Michael Bay is currently filming Transformers 3 for a July 2011 release (without Megan Fox this time...  

... and keeps great time. The short power reserve is the only minor issue I have. Although this relates more to my wearing habbits than the watch itself as it is an automatic. If it was your only watch and worn every day then this would not be an issue. A...

Thanks Nico, that’s too kind. I know you have influenced many others, but if I can tug at your heart with the occasional Constellation or this Longines, I am very happy. I don’t have any great movement shots as the watch is a little difficult to open with...  

Of the JLC Geomatic. The " Ressemblance " goes even with the Rotor, which, in both cases, is engraved with the Brand Logo. Thanks for the movement pictures, Andrew. As for my collection, the first you can get which is not too difficult to get is the E 855...

There is much to like about this 'simple' Omega. The even, gold tinted numbers, the carbachon on the crown and the perfect proportions. A nice vintage. Andrew

thanks Nik, ah, the starwheel is one of my little secrets the car is running perfectly with just some minor cosmetic electrical issues that dont affect the driving so i'll ignore them as i dont use it enough to worry about. sadly it has a hard roof, my dr...  

My memory is certainly playing tricks on me today. I thought it was a convertible. (is it the coupé then?). Never mind the hard roof, with your electric system up and running again, you'll just take the windows down and roll the starwheels out in the open...

thanks Stefan, the starwheel is timeless indeed. first invented about 200 years ago, first worn on the wrist in this model, modernised in the millenary and taken on by Urwerk to make it futuristic. as for me, i have been much better, but what doesnt kill ...

I have never seen one before. I've just worked out how you tell the time on it!!! Silly me, I kept looking at the center of the dial and didn't see the rotating 5. Regards, Richard....  

LOL sometimes looking at the centre gives the best pics. i have some excellent close ups of the mechanism so you can really see how it works. its a watch with a lot of fame and history due to its starwheel display, but you dont see many of them on the wri...

have you really not seen it before? it shows how little i use it. from the nice comments i've had that must change. as for being out in the car, i only drove to the doctors and back. a whole 7 miles. hopefully that will change soon as well. best Graham
