I never wear it, but...
every time I look at this simple Elgin pocketwatch, it reminds me of my time with my late friend Mr R, the watchmaker.
Mr. R taught me some of the basics for servicing a watch. After successfully servicing my first watch, this watch, he gave it to me as a gift. This watch is a token of our friendship and a reminder of what I love in horology. If there is any watch in my small collection that deserves to be a reminder of friends, this simple Elgin pocket watch is certainly it.

is when they take the trouble to learn of the "strangeness" of the purists so give a gift that is significant. :-) And I'm glad I have really good friends both on the Purists side of the house as well as from the civilan side of the house.
