Hello dear friend Blomman! Interesting theme, which you are opening with a wonderful shot of one of my many missed trains: a vintage Railmaster! I feel that...

... every seasoned collector has several trains missed along his long journey hunting for his collection.
I am not exception of course... specially in the Rolex brand I am so fond of.
The market has escalated in such an steep way that many pieces which I wished to include in my collection will remain as that: just wishes or dreams. E.g.: a Big Crown Sub, a Double Red Sea Dweller, and others less valuable (in the past) references like a Creamy dial Explorer 2 or a vintage Milgauss 1019 are presently positioned in unreacheable shelves!
Last year I missed an important train just for an indecision moment. I really regret that still today!: a Pre Daytona 6234 similar to the one I show below (photographs sent to me by a colleague, not mine) which I know I will never be able to buy at present prices leaved the station forever.
By the contrary just a few weeks ago I got a train I had missed last year thanks to the help of a good friend of mine who located an example of this sold out Limited edition of only 500 watches at the Geneve Boutique and bought it for me. I had been searching for it for long with no luck till my friend found it for me.
If there is a big regret for our missed trains, it is true that there is a bigger joy when we finally catch a train we though we have missed forever!!
Have a nice week end dear friend Blomman and all our dear friends at PuristS
Cheers! Abel
