Hello dear Captain! Nice to have you hosting this weekend.

Love the Theme! As I told before “Cast Away” is a favorite film of mine.
As the main character had Wilson as his silent but faithful companion during those hard days spent in the island I would have Randall as my company in case of following steps to Tom Hank as I will explain below.
My watch choice is a modern rendition of the classic Submariner. Ref 114.060 is still 40 mm case size which I prefer and all the superb characteristics of a Rolex: reliable and tough as my personal experience with different references of this watch have demonstrated during around fifty four years on my wrist.
To my watch I would add a few accessories which I feel would facilitate my life in a similar conditions and place the main character of the film had to face.
Randall is the nick name of my knife: a Model 18 Attack Survival made by famous maker Randall Made Knives from Orlando, Florida. All stainless steel construction and 5-1/2” blade (longer blades available, but this is a very practical lenght I feel.)
Inside its hollow handle I carry fishing hooks and monofilament line, and little lead weights. Also waterproof matches, scalpel blades, and water potabilizing pills.
The handle closes with a threaded pommel with gasket making it waterproof. The pommel has a compass inside.
The knife can be used as a spear by introducing one end of a suitable straight tree branch in his hollow handle to hunt, fish or defense.
My compact survival kit includes a brass compass, a magnesium fire starter, a Swiss Army knife an a large folding knife (Sbenza by Chris Reeves maker). A pair of sun glasses are nice to have of course.
I feel you’ll approve the equipment which I hope I’ll be able to retrieve from the crashed plane!!
Have a nice weekend dear Captain and all our friends here!!
