Many thanks for hosting this first WristScan of 2023. I started the New Year with a bang - the DB25 Starry Varius GMT I then switched to the JLC Duometre Chronographe for return to the office. Followed by the Moser Streamliner Perpetual And today the JLC ...  

Wow, I absolutely love the design details in your beautiful DB25 Starry Varius GMT. I can remember that days when DB started out making exceptional watches and have admired their work ever since.

The DB25 range really captured my attention and the GMT version of the Starry Varius ticked all the boxes for me. The color of the blued titanium is unique - unlike anything else I’ve ever seen. The attention to detail is exceptional - I particularly like...

I’m really enjoying watching DB as they evolve, and also start producing some smaller watches in the DB25 line - the new 40mm Perpetual in particular. It’s good to see the independent sector of the market so vibrant these days!

I’ve recently traded up to an iPhone 13 Pro Max and enjoying the built in camera. For an old timer like me who remembers “developer and fixer” the technology in todays smartphones is staggering and the results amazing. Having said that, it always helps to... 

... 1990´s. Then I switched with great pain to digital cameras in the earlies 2000´s and later to the I Phone camera which has became my favorite tool to shoot watches in the last say three or four years. Of course has some limitations compared to a camer... 

I especially like your DB25 and the fantastic pics you made of it. Your JLC Grande GMT 8 days awakens nostalgic feelings in me. I owned this gem. And was stupid enough to sell it to fund another watch. Cheers Thomas ...

This superb watch has my attention and certainly has my attention this weekend. The short lugs make such a difference on the wrist. Hope you can post a few more photos of it this weekend.

I think this is a very wearable watch that's meant to be a daily. Particularly in white metals, it flies under the radar--although I couldn't resist the 22k. Have a good year!

You just cant go wrong with one of these in your collection. The IWC with tje green design details and matching strap looks incredible. How long have you had this one ?

When I first saw this IWC I just fell in love with the colour, the titanium case, movement, and strap (and had also been a big F1 fan back during the Schumacher/Hill era). Immediately contacted IWC to be put on the wait list back in late August, and by mi...  

The Schumacher/Hill era was certainly exciting times for F1 and I have found memories of meeting both great drivers.

I remember when McLaren dominated from the Australian grand prix onwards to a point when it got a little ridiculous. It was amazing, I think that was 1997-8? I was always rooting for Damon as a fellow Brit and could not believe he switched to Jordan (noth... 

Patrick Head always said that Damon wanted a significant increase in his contractual salary and this played a part in his shock departure.

I also remember how McLaren were always classed as the villain while Ferrari quite the opposite. The former did have the best cars then, but they were so good that there was no competition, at least for a while.

They practically broke the sport. They were the dream team.

I quite enjoy the history, elegance, simplicity, and understated look of this watch. I did try for the current version but remains impossible with any AD so had to settle for the 114270, which I was very lucky to find with all original paperwork, etc, and... 

... I have an special attachment to this watch which brings me so much pleasure on my wrist. I specially like this model in the 36 mm version and I was happy to know decided to reintroduce this case size in their catalog. I´m sure your 114270 will not dis...

it is interesting, after wearing so many different types of watches over the years why is this getting the most attention? I think its the unusual complication on the dial of two halves of the globe, the overall steampunk effect of the bronze and the comp...

… very eclectic considering the watches I had in rotation starting with my old custom (since about 1981) of wearing my gold Date 1500 every December 31 and January 1st : Then I changed for the Speedmaster new 321 Ed White: Followed by my Pam 424 No Date v...  

Your Rolex gold date 1500 has my full attention. Its a good looking piece in the classic Rolex style. Certainly a watch that I would be proud to have in my collection and enjoy. As for your other choices they are the true pleasure of our sport Variety is ... 

It has grown vintage with me during all those long years (Lol!!) and it shows a soft patina in some corners of its case and also the charming riveted bracelet add to the vintage looks of this watch which was bought brand new at a local Rolex Ad around 198... 

and I completely understand, the best watches in our collections should be all about the sentiment and not about the value.
