First of all apologies for the delay - something came up unfortunately. Irrespective, the WS for this weekend - ‘Dress to impress’ - is now live. So watches that you would wear for special occasions, whatever these are for you are what I am looking forwar...
… which surely serve to dress and impress. I’m specially fond of your signature VC timepiece. So unique and elegant design! Tough my personal preferences in watches are sport/tool types and usually dress sport/casual clothes I own a few timepieces which I...
I am glad the theme brought out some pieces you show less often but which are no less appealing as a result 👍🏻 The Patek, the DD, Reverso, FPJ, Cartiers - all fabulous choices 👌🏻
… to know you like my choices. Indeed these are timepieces I do not wear often but which I love so much in spite of that. It’s my big pleasure to share them here! Have a nice weekend my dear friend! Abel
I’m glad to read you like them. I don’t wear them very often but love them and they give me much pleasure to own and admire them. Have an enjoyable weekend my dear friend. Abel
- Really liked your „sequence of pleasure“, whereby your Patek Calendrier, the 2 Cartiers and the good ol‘ Rolex Day Date WG are my personal favs. And not to forget the FP Journe - what a classic to dress, especially with the black leather strap. In fact,...
... on my choices for playing last weekend Theme. These are watches I don´t wear very often but love them so much, and I´m so glad you like them too. Thank you so much again for letting me know. I send you my best cordial regards and good wishes dear frie...
The strap appears to be attached with two screws on each side into the bottom of the case - making it one of the rare watches where I never change straps 😊🤷🏻♂️
The Patek and VC CDV both feature signature lugs for dress chronographs - but very different approaches. The Patek’s stepped lugs add an Art Deco touch and the CDV - well that’s something else. And the GMT-6 has the signature “tear drop” KV lugs
My only colored metal watch, hiding a true gem of a movement inside (the Zenith Cal. 135 adapted to central seconds in its Vostok 2809 iteration). I have worn this with black tie, albeit not on this strap 😂 And the Minerva Pythagore is always a contender ...
Hello dear KM and friends ! Simply the pleasure of enjoying the moment, that impresses me more than most things in life… Casually impressive ? … Impressive match ? … They were impressed ;-)) … Have a great weekend everyone ! Best regards Captain ...
That Gold Submariner is a dream! Didn’t know you owned this gem. I love golden Subs, specially the earlier niple dials 1680/8 200 mts like yours. I own a later version which is very nice with its blue turned purple dial but it lacks the charm of your prev...
Should be the highest motto - in most cases no one else knows what you’re wearing anyway 😉 The choices you have made are sublime for that very purpose - bringing pleasure to the owner 👍🏻
and thank you for your kind words. I started collecting by choosing watches that gave me personal pleasure, something that I intended to continue doing. Trends come and go but if you really love a watch, a car or a woman none of it matters 😉
...like this VC very slim case for a thin movement my full calender for new year's eve and the new year not too slim, but elegant enough to be enjoyed a versatile watch for all occasions Great ...
And it seems to be one close to your heart and collection 😊 I fully agree with the thin and simple theme - close to my heart, too! And the specimen shown, be it the VC, Cartier or the others all fit so well 🙌🏻👌🏻
. . . a Flightmaster . . . . . . on special occasions. I might even wear short pants. But if I had to pick out a dress watch from my collection by traditional standards, it would be the Genève. And no short pants. Tennis shoes, maybe. ;-) ...
I go for one of the following, all depending on occasion, outfit and mood. The Lange 1 is a true all rounder when it’s time to dress up. The Saxonia for the more formal occasions (when not the pocket watch comes to play). But it works just as well with je...
Hello KM , I actually went back and read your writeup a second time as my first impression was that it was primarily to do with ” “ formal wear “ and associated watches. But then I realised it was actually talking about any occasion which one uses to dres...
