Reverse, obverse, inverse, converse, opposite, polar, antipode, contrary, diametric, back, counter, flipside, contrariant, backside, rear or, perhaps, just the other side! Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Grand Date, Ref. 300.84.20 (Cal. 875), 28800vph, 25 jewels...

Baby got back! :-)

One of my (if not the) favourite Reversos

 By: stromer : May 14th, 2010-02:14
The Grande Date is really a watch of extraordinary beauty (both sides). It is one of the hot candidates for my first new JLC. Best, Martin

The Far Side ...

So hope I

 By: stromer : May 14th, 2010-04:49
The front, far, light, dial, outer, presentation side of the Grande Date is at least as tempting as the back, near, dark, movement, hidden one. Thank you, Andrew, for the pictures! Best, Martin

Good choice for every day ...

A pseudo Compressor

 By: nilomis : May 13th, 2010-16:09
A very simple, or should I say pedestrian, watch, but I love the 70s look and the pseudo compressor case: Don't know why but looks better on a 70's style B/W. Cheers to all, Nilo...

Why pseudo?

 By: amanico : May 13th, 2010-20:11
Not sure it is not a Compressor Case... Can you provide us more pics of this Tissot? Very nice picture, by the way! Best, Nicolas

The pseudo compressor

 By: nilomis : May 14th, 2010-03:10
Nicolas, I use the term "pseudo" because there is, I believe but I will double check, no "helmet" on the case back. As far I know, the "compressor" case derives from a patent made by Ervin Piquerez, that was licensed to some companies (JLC, Longines, Enic...

Looks very good, Nilo!

By: blomman Mr Blue : May 14th, 2010-03:14
Question? Is it the same crowns on that one as the Polaris and the LLD? HAGWE Blomman

lovely Tissot Nilo. it may not be by EPSA, but its from the same family of dive watches

 By: G99 : May 14th, 2010-03:20
it has IMO the right to sit in amongst any collection of supercompressors. probably more right than my UG Polerouter which is a single crown supercompressor with all the correct Brevet numbers for EPSA. great pic as well BTW. best Graham

Tissot crowns

 By: nilomis : May 14th, 2010-03:50
Blomman, The Tissot uses regular Tissot ("T") crowns, as you can try to see on this pic: Cheers, Nilo...

Thanks for info, Nilo!

By: blomman Mr Blue : May 14th, 2010-04:08
Beautiful back-side on your Tissot! Best Blomman

Nilo...I still wonder if it is not a super compressor case...

 By: amanico : May 14th, 2010-06:25
It has been used by so many brands ( around 20 different brands ) that I don't swee why Tissot didn't use it... It really looks like a Super Compressor case. Would be interested to see the inside part of the case back... Best, Nicolas

A master is a ... Master

 By: nilomis : May 14th, 2010-13:29
Nicolas, You were 110% correct, one more time. Stopped by my watchmaker and had the Tissot open: Now I have a true compressor case. Is not a Polaris but ... it's cool and I'm looking this watch with another eyes. Notice that the case back is "bayonet styl...

 By: G99 : May 14th, 2010-13:39
Nilo, i dont think that little 'diver' symbol on the inside represents EPSA. i've seen a number of watches including standard Omega seamasters with that symbol. i think it just symbolises a water resistant watch. to find tissot production dates google Tis...

Just a guy who try to find his way... Best, and congrats on your Super Compressor Case!!! Nicolas

here is the caseback of super compressor...

 By: FanFrancisco : May 14th, 2010-20:31
... here is a pic of inside caseback of my Fortis, you can clearly see the "Super Compressor" logo and words and also other words like "Brevet..." . as Graham said, the small logo appeared on the inside caseback of your watch can be found in my many Omega...

Nilo,   it may not...

 By: G99 : May 15th, 2010-03:19
Nilo, it may not be an EPSA super compressor, but it is still the same in essence. a double crown dive watch with internal rotating bezel. lovely watch whoever made the case. best Graham

i also got one diver very similar with yours..

 By: FanFrancisco : May 14th, 2010-07:16
recently, i got one Fortis Marinemaster which also has two crowns, the caseback of mine looks very similar as yours that also has a big something like marine logo. i don't have tool to open the caseback, but according to the photos provided by the seller,...

looks like a Super Compressor case to me !!!

 By: Bill Sohne : May 14th, 2010-06:20

 By: AndrewD : May 14th, 2010-17:00
Hi Arthur, Nice to see your new Pam. As another non-Pam fan, I seem to find myself looking at Panerai's every few months and trying some on. Perhaps I am late to the 'party', but there is still something that draws me to these watches. Unlike you, however...

Hi Andrew

 By: ArthurSG : May 14th, 2010-20:02
well for me, there isn;t a right PAM as frankly, they all look rather the same for me. How did I end up with the 326? Well, I don't bother with the movement for PAMs because there isn't much to bother about for "Pam" movements. SO its down aesthetics...no...

Just classic in its case, dial and proportions. It doesn't come much more perfect (apart from a '60's Constellation, but we are all allowed our biases!). Nice. Congratulations. A
