So here is my choice for tonight and trying to choose something to open to share... I love this watch but on the other hand have a very strange relationship with it as I only wear it maybe once or twice a year. On the other hand, it has also been on near ...

I have never owned a Rolex but if I did, this would be probably be towards the top of the list. What made you choose this one rather than the green crystal one? Cheers Andrew

To be honest it was a tricky decision. I remember talking to a work colleague the day before I went to buy it & saying "first pick is the GV (green crystal), then the white, then the black". I arrived at the AD as soon as they opened & we laid all 3 versi... 

... so it's on my wrist today of course. A continuation of my ongoing obsession with blued hands ! ...

... in helping celebrate my obsession with blued hands Andrew : its a 37mm case, and like you I really like the angular lugs that add such retro charm. It's a Zenith A271, and served as a partial inspiration for the recent Hodinkee+Zenith watch collaborat... 

Nothing can have as much charm as a beautiful vintage piece in such a nice condition ! Excellent catch bravo, it is worth being patient ! Mike

it is why I still have it. I put it on and fall in love with it again... not that the relationship ended maybe just cooled off! I just wonder sometimes if I were to get shed a few pieces which I did not wear would I miss them and get a bigger piece which ...

Don't worry, real passions never die, and mine is real. Still enjoying them. Not wearing many watches these days. I haven't worn any for more than three years, and now they really bother me on the wrist. They must be light and comfy or I would not wear th...

Indeed these don't come by often. Yes, big but wearable as it has no lugs. Hugs my small wrist quite well I must say.

If I get to 20 years service the most I can expect is the certificate!

All I got from the University was the certificate. I also had to earn my promotion by putting together a 300 page portfolio and have outside and inside reviewers recommend and vote for me. Nothing is free.

Was rather amazed initially as thought the days of watches as long service awards were long gone. You've just proved me right - you have to buy your own! Though yours is a great choice. Enjoy wearing it JML

My way of counting I never get past mid 30's... makes it easier. Lovely Breitling... its amazing how it has not dated, it is still a great and relevant piece today. The last few years Breitling seem to have gone off the boil... I wonder what will come aft...
