There is and it of vital importance.

But all the deployants are a bit different and need different positioning.

For some 10 years ago a Patek watchmaker measured my wrist and told the correct measurements of a strap, 38 mm watch and their deployant. After that it has been very easy: based on the size and shape of the case, I either add or deduct a mm or two. Totally I have probably over 50 Patek straps for all of my PP watches and they all fit perfectly. I do not wear buckles in my Patek at all.

Please also note that the strap made to be used with a buckle is not perfect with a folding clasp. The thickness of the ends of the straps are slightly different.

Best, Kari
