With so many amazing releases! I too am eyeing the blue dial overseas.. the chrono in particular. Cant wait to see one in person!

for me the ultra-thin no date is quite attractive as well as the blue dial one. It is great to see some more down to earth novelties. The quick change system to swap straps/bracelet is also a great innovation - something that will be welcomed by many. Che... 

even if, from the picture with the 3 straps, I wonder if such a narrow part will be rigid and reliable enough... just a thought. Cheers, Mark

It could be a deal breaker if the strap is not reliable but we have to trust VC on this. Did you have a look at the short video on the VC website? They show how the strap attaches on the case but also how the buckle-change works, pretty clever. Cheers

I ordered already the blue dial Overseas and I'm considering also the sister-chronograph. I think this concept with bracelet + crocodile strap + rubber strap is a real winner. And the watch is not bad either... Best, Kari

But in the case of Overseas, there are in addition a crocodile & rubber strap plus the watch has a WR 150 meters. I have never found big difference in the quality between PP and VC even I very much prefer PP. But things can change... Best, Kari

As I said to Phileas I hope this narrow part where the stem is fixed is large enough to support the tensions. Otherwise it is a very practical feature. Cheers, Mark

The ultrathin and cal 5100 just made it to my wish list for 2016

The Ultra thin is white gold only and uses the same JLC movement used in the Royal Oak Jumbo (2120). The Perpetual is based on the JLC movement too with the added perpetual module. The new in-house chrono and three-hand watches are 13.7 and 11mm thick. Qu...

Differences in the subdial arrangements and jewel counts suggest the two movements aren\'t that similar, even though it would make perfect sense that they share some technology. Will need more details to reach any sort of conclusion.

And the ultra thins may not be in house, but they house the famed 1120 - a great movement.

The chrono was 42 x 12.45mm and now 42.5 and 13.7 thick which is quite an increase: I guess this is why they added this ring between the case and the Malte bezel which isn't really nice imho. To be seen in the metal. Cheers, Mark

I think that ring which the bezel sits on hearkens back to the 222 which is apparently the theme of the new models. I actually like it, as I found the previous version's interplay of bezel and case to be a bit inelegant in it's geometries. But I'm not sol...

This appears to be a classic look, which brings the Overseas collection in line with the brand\'s DNA. The ultra thin is my favourite. The big date was a signature feature of the old Overseas chronograph, so the 4 o\'clock date will surely generate discus... 

Hi Mark! It seems that the Overseas line has been protected from magnetic disturbances simply adding a soft iron ring around the movement. Well, are you sure a simple "ring" is really sufficient to classify a watch as "Anti Magnetic"? Ciao, Elio

But from what I read yesterday, it seems that they did testings and that, as the magnetism comes especially from the side and the top (the back being protected by the wrist), the difference in magnetism is not very different between the former generation ... 

And he said that there was much debate about this. That was why they did the tests. He said that they, too, were surprised by the results, but that testing showed the effects of magnetism effected the movement when the were "edge" on. He said there was "a...

The new date placement is too common. The interchangeable strap and micro-adjustment of the clasp are a neat idea but I still prefer the big date under the 12...

And the sub seconds far away from the edge of the dial, necessitated by the too-small movement, doesn\'t help.
