Thanks Nicholas, very much for this wonderful tour of VC Chronos. The text and pics were superb. Probably one of the best articles on the web about this topic. I really enjoyed and feel even better about mine Regards, Joseph
In the world of Exclusive Chronographs, there are a very few Competitors... People have immediately in mind the A.LANGE Datograph, the Patek Philippe 5070, The new to come JLC Duo Metre à Chronographe, and least but not last...The Vacheron Constantin, in ...
Just kidding, Nicolas. Words cannot describe my excitement on seeing this great presentation of an exceptional watch. What a great catch! You did well to jump on it. The Salmon dial is also my preference and to be perfectly honest I will even pick it over...
and the photographs are spectacular. I just have a small correction: the platinum watch with the black dial was made in 25 examples for the Japanese market. One of them did belong to a collector based in Taiwan, which may be where the confusion comes in. ...
I'm so in love with... Will have to post, one of these days, a platinum shot of theses gorgeous chronos! LOL Best, my friend, and, as always, thanks for tyour very nice words! Best. Nicolas
... thank you very much for the comprehensive review and my congratulations to your purchase! I once had a Glashuette Original Senator perpetual calendar with a salmon dial - you don't see this color too often and it makes a stunning timepiece even more s...
Notice, with the platinum case one gets 4 screws to fasten the case back to the case, here a snap back! A small detail... A classic chronograph, elegant & timeless. Congrats on getting that wonderful version, I love it. Cheers, Tim...
The pictures were fantastic and it was the first time I've ever seen a Breguet with a salmon color dial. Thanks for the indepth review of VC chronographs, I really enjoyed it. Best regards, Dino
Another great find, 4 years ago... Indeed, the Salmon dial adds some Exclusivity, some Elegance and refunement to these 2 watches. But, IMO, the VC is a bit above, even more exclusive, and a bit more elegant. best! Nicolas
Nicholas, thank you for the indepth write-up. I just purchased the platinum with the silver dial several weeks ago. Have not been able to get it off my wrist since it arrived. The salmon dial looks great. Great weigh also to the platinum. Thanks again for...
great post, ill have to admit i stopped reading and become mesmerized by the pictures... the pushers seem to be a different metal on your piece, are they different or just the pictures showing up odd on my laptop? that dial layout is superb, i was gawking...
I do notice a version of VC chronograph bearing a pulsometer dial instead of the telemetric dial. Any data on how many Les Historiques" made with pulsometer dial? Larry
Very much enjoyable, and the photos are fantastic! I too have been longing for a 47101/47111. I am particularly interested in the YG for its timeless warmth, especially now in this cold season.
Thanks so much for posting this. I particularly enjoyed the comparisons with the other high-level chronos. A beautiful piece -- wear in good health and happiness! Best, Gary G
Many years ago I passed on an opportunity to buy this very model, along with a platinum GP Ferrari rattrapante, for an incredible price and I am still kicking myself today. Wear yours in the best of health! - SJX
Quite hard to find, but it's always possible to get one, my friend... I can only say that it is really worht it! Thanks for your nice words. Best. Nicolas
I SOLD a PP 3970 for $38k four years ago, upon the advice of a PP market "expert" I sold an extra (ordered two to be sure I got at least one, didn't want to keep two) Lange 1815 Moonphase for $12k around the same time. Market prices over the past 4 years ...

as it is indeed a very nice find. Yes I can confirm that the platinum model with black guilloche dial is a LE of 25 pieces for Taiwan several years back, and it's quite a bargain judging from today's perspective. To me the VC chronograph is the sensible a...
