You are correct about all of the positive aspects about the 2nd gen. The lack of hacking doesn’t bother me too much as I just backwind to hold the seconds steady while setting the time.
I have had the opportunity to handle many watches and few come close to being such a solid choice for a “go anywhere do anything” watch.
