VC was my first horological aiffair and I still appreciate and follow the House immensely. That being said, in the last few years, there have been some big disappointements. Both the Overseas line (design-wise) and the Fifty Six line (quality-wise), did not represent what VC is all about. And no, there was no need for an 'entry level' watch of that quality in the Fifty Six line. No marketing approach or public relations campaign can undo that. The only watch that is worth mentioning from both these lines, is the Overseas PC. The Chronograph and the Dual Time where both better in form (case, dial, proportions) and nature (overall aesthetic result) in their previous iteration.
I would expect, in the following years, more watches like the CDV, a new PC Chronograph and a new manual Chronograph in the Traditionnelle line. No tourbillons on sport models and endless blue dialed variants of existing references. SIHH 2019 was trully a let down. Apart from the magnificent and elusive Twin Beat PC, everything else was disappointing - to me at least.
