Vacheron Constantin

You know how picky and severe I can be with Vacheron Constantin and their current production. But when something is top top top, I have to say it. To write it, and to congratulate Vacheron for this superb realisation, their last Les Historiques Chronograp...  

The only thing I will need time to get used to is the lugs' style. But this is a fantastic version and it will be difficult to choose between this one and the new simple chrono (with the new caliber 3300 I guess) when it is unveiled. I'm eager to see it i... 

For the moment, between a watch I see and a watch which will be unveiled later, I have no doubt, I prefer the watch I see. :) Best, Mark. Nicolas

and while there is no picture yet, we just can expect that a new model of chrono will replace the Traditionnelle model. But, in the perspective of someone looking for purchasing one, there will be (soon?) 2 very strong contender I guess to consider.

Was waiting years to see something like this released. The proportions are classic, especially when compared to the new Harmony. No doubt it will be showered with more praise - deservedly so.

Dear Nicolas, I have no problem with coloured gold BUT the teardrop, cow and all other special lugs are much more my taste in white metal. The blue touch and the mushromm pusher, adding just the little sporty touch that makes it perfect. Ho my word, this,... 

We have different taste for many things about watch, but it is that good, everyone agrees :)

or the plain dial... impossible to decide between both I suppose a vintage of the 50s would settle a judgement ^^

because I anguish whether to save, purchase and re-evaluate my wish list, or suffer knowing I will never have it. I love it. I don't mind the indices as opposed to numerals especially on a case this size. I can appreciate this piece a lot :))

dont need 45 or so all the time but under 40 is not for me Make it between 40 and 42 and it would be perfect But 40 is imo a minimu for any watch

I'm a fan of 42-44 mm watches, but I'm afraid this particular movement would get lost in a larger case. Sometimes you've got to appreciate something for what it is and not what it could have been... and this watch is a thing of beauty :) Cheers, Kamy

I read 80 KUSD somewhere else. However, the Historiques are usually high in pricing. Compared to the others in terms of caliber and considering the Pt material, it will be high for sure.

It becomes then almost affordable ! LOL Yes of course Les Historiques models are above the normal range but still... As Nico said, at this price level I am afraid it will remain a (superb) dream only at least for me. I shall remain happy, very happy even ... 

I was also very excited when I saw the first pictures and thought that resisting would be painful but I realized that the price would be a first obstacle. Yet, it is a very good news to see VC makes that move, concerning the shape but also the movement. M... 

First of all to my eyes it looks to me one of the most exciting novelties from all brands since quite long ! I am convinced that the horn lugs won't disturb me at all on the contrary (but I love vintage watches and obviously this design directly inherited... 

The good thing is that it is not a limited edition, thus, it will never be too late in the future :) Cheers, Mark

If the price is as stated, then I have a new theme. Get all the 47101s for less than the cost of this one. 90k usd is insane. Unless VC wants to sell just 50 or so pieces. Best Joe

was an extraordinary watch. This one, some 60 years later, is a (nice) copy. imho, not an extraordinary watch.

Movement which is at least at the level of the Valjoux used by Patek and VC at that time. Which is pretty exciting, if we consider Vacheron current production. Don't you think so? Best, my friend. Nicolas

...was very unfortunate my friend. Since I saw it I can't sleep anymore;) this is absolutely gorgeous. The more I look at it the more I melt. I think that I will have completely disappeared in about 2 months:) What a piece of art! I hope to be able to see...
