When you look a little further to the other 60's square ref's of V&C,
like the ref 6290, 6702, 6908, 6559, 6787, 6919, 7297,
then it might occur, you came across similar 'misprints' of the 'S'.
Which naturally raises the question to me, if such an error by the refinisher could happen more often
- even to watches originating (nowadays) from different countries? - Probably not.
Because of the question of the size, this 6290 measures about 26 by 26 mm,
that means the diameter would be about 36,8 mm.
This was the usual size for the men's dress watches in the 1960. It is a medium size, but not very small.
This pictured watch came along with the original documents and so on, at a very reasonable price tag.
In total probably a chance for a good adventure!
