Sorry - couldn't resist. Of course this would appeal to a shaped-case sucker like me. I presume that there's a round movement behind a solid back on these watches (though VC has ready access to shaped movements from JLC). Can anyomne confirm? Personally, I think the while dial treatment works best.

While I've never been into all the calendar complication I do love the dial and the hands and case.
I think it would also be a great watch stripped down to just the date and even perhaps the moon phase. The top two cutouts don't really work for me.

Yes, very nice case shape, but the first models were smaller.
These re-editions seem to wear a bit large, unfortunately.
