I think it would also be a great watch stripped down to just the date and even perhaps the moon phase. The top two cutouts don't really work for me.

I believe the original was dubbed cioccolante based on it being shaped like an Italian chocolate! Been awhile since I’ve seen one 👍

These re-editions seem to wear a bit large, unfortunately.

Sorry - couldn't resist. Of course this would appeal to a shaped-case sucker like me. I presume that there's a round movement behind a solid back on these watches (though VC has ready access to shaped movements from JLC). Can anyomne confirm? Personally, ...
