Let’s not forget the harmony and 1921 are 2 completely different watches.
To give you an example: when I wear the harmony, not many people seem to notice it and it doesn’t draw a lot of attention. yet those who know the watch generally admire it
When i wear the 1921, everybody seems to notice. I can see people in. The elevator (pre-COVID) looking at it, some shameless stare at it.
They are somehow very different but somehow they both breath the heritage of the ,maison. Perhaps that’s why i like them both.
Now if I had to choose the 1921 would be nr 1.
But fortunately I don’t have to choose so I can enjoy both. The harmony is great for boardroom use. Somehow it emits a certain seniority without shouting. The 1921 I can wear everywhere anytime. Wether with jeans or suit and tie it always works.
So I color coordinate that works best for me
Rightfully so,it is a superb watch!
And pretty unique looking :none of the competition has anything comparable.

...but I always thought the dial looked 'incomplete' without surrounding frames on the day and month apertures...

And to certain degree even agree with you but on the other hand, the dial is now very clean not cluttered and as result your eye is drawn to the beautiful shaped hands as well as the creamy white color of the dial.
I've seen plenty of Vacherons but this one's special.

I also think the watch is breathtakingly beautiful and I would love to have it. But the price is equally breathtaking. I think I've read somewhere that the Harmony series will be discontinued soon. Hopefully not before I put the budget together.

I could definetely see the Harmony flying under the radar a little bit, especially to a non watch people or non WIS....
