Thanks for sharing this review of the Maltese Cross lug style introduced for the bicentennial celebration of V&C. I’m intrigued by ref 6068 and its “très plate” cal 1001, having subseconds and the Maltese Cross dial. I’m sure you are aware that calibres 453, 454, 1007 and 1008 all share the same 12 1/2 ligne base dimensions of 28.8 mm, so you must help me understand your question?
