The Maltese Cross lugs model is a popular type for collectors, especially the Royal Chronometre.Similar shapes, subtle structural changes, and differences in diameters constitute different references.
Recently, I found more details than before. The following is personal view, which may not be completely correct. For your reference is my happy, I also hope anyone will join the discussion.
ref.6067 , on 1950s cataloge , fit with caliber 454, 34mm

an example

indeed ref.6067 fit with 3 calibers, caliber 454,caliber 1007, caliber 1008

ref.6067 chronometre royal models, also appeard in bonhams .
ref.6105 , on 1950s cataloge , fit with caliber 454, 35mm. and ref.6071 with caliber 453.

indeed ref.6105 fit with 3 calibers, caliber 454,caliber 453, caliber 1008
ref.6105 with caliber 454 , I only see it on cataloge , cannot find a real model.

Why assemble three different calibers for the same reference? My judgment is consider to the market supply and demand relationship, matching different calibers to meet the need of different customers. Maybe because of confusion among assembly personnel regarding similar case shapes, different calibers mistakenly assembled in the same reference.
Because of the above phenomenon exists, it givescollectorsa greater challenge, because there are too many changes, in order to judge the authenticity of the two models expecilly royal cjronometre , it is best to ask headquarters where could check whether the case number and seriel number match.
